The American investors Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan acquired this Sunday most of the actions of the Swansea, Welsh club that the English Premier League disputes, extending his sports empire.
Levien is the owner of the DC United of the city of Washington, who disputes the Major League Soccer, whereas Kaplan is the executive vice-president of the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA.
With this acquisition, the Americans have been done by a majority of the actions that the club allows them to direct. Nevertheless, several shareholders continue supporting a minority package.
Huw Jenkins, president of the club, remains supervised by(at the expense of) the daily management and a stock participation preserves. The capture of possession will have to wait for the verdict of the Premier League, which one will declare in the next weeks.
